Dr. des. Subekti W. Priyadharma, M.A., is a lecturer at the University of Padjadjaran (Unpad), Faculty of Communication Sciences, Indonesia. He finished both his master and doctoral program in media and communication science at the University of Erfurt, Germany. For his dissertation, he wrote about the role of the internet for social change in rural Indonesia, which discussed about the shift from development communication toward communication development in decentralized Indonesia. His research interests include communication for social change, online communication, ICT4D, periphery research, and specifically counter-public sphere
